Are you the right candidate? Ideal candidates will:
- Demonstrate success in meeting the needs of an ethnically, culturally, economically, and linguistically diverse group of 9th-11th grade students
- Experience designing curricula and differentiating instruction for a heterogeneous student body
- Have a strong interest in building community partnerships that support language learning and intercultural competencies
- Teach 5 sections of Upper School Spanish (levels 2 and 3)
- Serve as an advisor to a small group of Middle or Upper School students
- Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish
- Strong classroom management techniques differentiation skills to support the linguistic and cultural needs of non-native, Heritage Spanish speakers
- The ability to work collaboratively within the department as well as to seek out opportunities to collaborate with others
- A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree and/or teaching credential is preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience in public, charter, parochial, or independent schools
Salary Range: $70-75k (DOE)
